Frederike Kintscher-Schmidt is President of the Association of German Industrial Designers (VDID) and advocates for forward-looking approaches to design. She studied industrial design at the University of Wuppertal and the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Her professional experience includes working at design studios in Berlin and Los Angeles, followed by roles as a design consultant and advisory board member for a German publishing house. Her current focus is on design theory research into resource scarcity as a transformative parameter in product development.
