What is FORM / FUTURE?
FORM / FUTURE is an international design conference that understands design as a tool for systemic change.
At its core is the question of how design thinking can transform business, society, and politics. This year, the conference takes place on September 10 at Flughafen Tempelhof, as part of the official program marking Berlin’s 20th anniversary as a UNESCO City of Design.
Who is FORM / FUTURE made for?
FORM / FUTURE is made for everyone involved in transformation: companies and leaders rethinking structures. Designers who want to have strategic impact. Institutions looking for new forms of collaboration. And everyone who wants to shape change, not just manage it.
What sets FORM / FUTURE apart from other design conferences?
FORM / FUTURE understands design not as a discipline, but as a way of thinking. The conference brings together voices from design, business, and the public sector that rarely sit at the same table. No portfolio showcase, no trend spectacle. Instead: substance, conviction, and genuine exchange, at venues with history.
What topics are at the center?
FORM / FUTURE 2026 is held under the motto “Process & Principles.” Central to the program is the question of how design thinking becomes reliable methods and clear positions. What language is the conference held in?
FORM / FUTURE 2026 is bilingual. Presentations will be in German and English. Simultaneous interpretation into the other language will be provided on site.
Tickets & Attendance
How much does a ticket cost?
Participation in FORM / FUTURE 2026 is free of charge. This is Berlin’s gift to mark the 20th anniversary of its designation as a UNESCO City of Design.
How do I get a ticket?

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Since registration is personal, there’s no need to transfer your ticket. Anyone interested can register for their own free ticket.
What should I do if I'm unable to attend FORM / FUTURE after all? Do I need to cancel my registration?
Everyone who registers will receive a cancellation link as part of the ticketing process. We appreciate it if you use it, so your spot can be passed on to someone else.
Can personal assistants attend free of charge?
Yes. Since attendance at FORM / FUTURE 2026 is free of charge for everyone, this naturally applies to personal assistants as well.

Where does FORM / FUTURE 2026 take place?
This year, FORM / FUTURE takes place in the main hall of Tempelhof Airport Berlin.

How do I get to the venue?
By public transit: The nearest subway station is U Platz der Luftbrücke (U6), approximately a 5-minute walk from the entrance. Bus lines 248 and M43 also stop directly at the building.
By car: Parking is available on Tempelhofer Damm. On busy days, nearby parking can be limited.
We recommend arriving by public transit.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. The venue is fully accessible. Personal assistants should also please register for a free ticket. For specific needs, please contact us in advance: mail@formfuture.berlin
Is food and drink provided?
Coffee, cold drinks, and snacks are available all day. In addition, meals are available from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a pay-as-you-go basis. Cashless payment is accepted on site.
What can I bring with me?
Bag checks will be conducted at the entrance. We reserve the right to ask you to check larger items of luggage, such as suitcases or similar items, at the coat check. The coat check is free of charge.
Prohibited items include:
- Outside food and beverages, except for water in PET bottles
- Knives, weapons, and weapon-like objects
- Aerosol cans and pressurized containers for highly flammable or harmful gases (except for standard pocket lighters)
- Containers made of shatter-prone or breakable material
- Animals, except for guide dogs
Children under 16 years of age may only attend when accompanied by an adult.
When does admission begin?
The main entry period is from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. After that, entry and re-entry are permitted at any time.
