About the Conference
What is FORM / FUTURE?
FORM / FUTURE is an international design conference that understands design as a tool for systemic change.
At its core is the question of how design thinking can transform business, society, and politics. This year, the conference takes place on September 10 at Flughafen Tempelhof, as part of the official program marking Berlin’s 20th anniversary as a UNESCO City of Design.
Who is FORM / FUTURE made for?
FORM / FUTURE is made for everyone involved in transformation: companies and leaders rethinking structures. Designers who want to have strategic impact. Institutions looking for new forms of collaboration. And everyone who wants to shape change, not just manage it.
What sets FORM / FUTURE apart from other design conferences?
FORM / FUTURE understands design not as a discipline, but as a way of thinking. The conference brings together voices from design, business, and the public sector that rarely sit at the same table. No portfolio showcase, no trend spectacle. Instead: substance, conviction, and genuine exchange, at venues with history.
What topics are at the center?
FORM / FUTURE 2026 is held under the motto “Process & Principles.” Central to the program is the question of how design thinking becomes reliable methods and clear positions. What language is the conference held in?
FORM / FUTURE 2026 is bilingual. Sessions take place in German and English. We aim to provide German interpretation for as many sessions as possible.
Tickets & Attendance
How much does a ticket cost?
Attendance at FORM / FUTURE 2026 is free of charge. Free admission is Berlin’s gift to mark the city’s 20th anniversary as a UNESCO City of Design. As soon as the ticketing portal opens, we will announce this in our newsletter and on social media.
How do I get a ticket?
Tickets are released in three drops. Whenever a new ticket drop goes live, we announce it first in our newsletter and on our social media channels.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Since registration is personal, there’s no need to transfer your ticket. Anyone interested can register for their own free ticket.
What should I do if I'm unable to attend FORM / FUTURE after all? Do I need to cancel my registration?
Everyone who registers will receive a cancellation link as part of the ticketing process. We appreciate it if you use it, so your spot can be passed on to someone else.
Can personal assistants attend free of charge?
Yes. Since attendance at FORM / FUTURE 2026 is free of charge for everyone, this naturally applies to personal assistants as well.

When will the program be announced?
The program is taking shape over the coming weeks. We will share regular updates here on the website, on social media, and through our newsletter.
Can I attend Master Classes and workshops?
Yes. Master Classes and workshops are part of the conference program. Registration for these sessions takes place after you have secured your conference ticket. As soon as spots become available, we will announce this in our newsletter and on social media.

Where does FORM / FUTURE 2026 take place?
This year, FORM / FUTURE takes place in the main hall of Tempelhof Airport Berlin.

How do I get to the venue?
By public transit: The nearest subway station is U Platz der Luftbrücke (U6), approximately a 5-minute walk from the entrance. Bus lines 248 and M43 also stop directly at the building.
By car: Parking is available on Tempelhofer Damm. On busy days, nearby parking can be limited.
We recommend arriving by public transit.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. The venue is fully accessible. Personal assistants should also please register for a free ticket. For specific needs, please contact us in advance: mail@formfuture.berlin
Is food and drink provided?
Yes. Food and drinks are available for purchase throughout the conference.
