Keynote Speaker
Frederik Kampe is a co-founder and managing director of Gestaltungszentrale Politik. Working at the intersection of academia, design and politics, he is committed to fostering a new democratic culture of design. He studied German Studies, History and Aesthetics at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, where he is currently completing his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr Heinz Drügh on the aesthetics of Barbie. His doctoral research is funded by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. His research interests lie in the fields of consumer aesthetics, everyday aesthetics and design research. His work frequently straddles disciplinary boundaries and is characterised by an interdisciplinary perspective.
