FORM / FUTURE 2026
Victoria Ringleb is the Managing Director of the Alliance of German Designers (AGD), the largest professional association for self-employed designers across all disciplines. She advises the association’s members on all matters relating to their self-employment, whether it be drawing up a viable business plan, dealing with clients who are unwilling to pay, or shedding light on the German social security system. She represents the interests of self-employed designers in various institutions and committees. Since 2021, she has been Chair of the Advisory Board of the Artists’ Social Insurance Fund. Her key concern is the role of design in times of transformation, such as those we are currently experiencing, and in particular the issue of ‘education’. How can it function effectively in the future — not only for design, but also beyond it? What content is needed, and what methods and formats? What might we need to let go of? Victoria Ringleb studied Communication Studies and Intercultural Business Communication in Jena, Cambridge and Brisbane. She is married, has a daughter, and lives and works in Berlin and Braunschweig.
