Julia Kostial (b. 1973) is the Executive Director of the German Design Museum Foundation. She studied German, English, and Political Science in Darmstadt and then worked for ten years at PR agencies in Frankfurt and Hamburg. After running her own business, she headed Corporate Communications at the German Design Council from 2009 to 2017. She subsequently took over the management of the German Design Museum Foundation, where she has served as Executive Director since 2020.
