Frederike Kintscher-Schmidt is President of the Association of German Industrial Designers (VDID) and advocates for future-oriented approaches in design. She studied Industrial Design at the University of Wuppertal and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She has worked in design studios in Berlin and Los Angeles, and later served as a design consultant and advisory board member for a German publishing house. Her current focus is on design theory research exploring resource scarcity as a transformative parameter in product development.
At the conference, she will moderate the panel “Circular Industries” featuring experts from industry, circular economy, communication, and design.
