Dr. Anna Hochreuter is Head of Division for Economic Policy and Regulatory Framework at the Senate Department in Berlin, a position held since 2017. In this role, Dr. Hochreuter shapes strategic policies for one of Europe’s most dynamic urban economies.

Before joining the Senate Department, she was Head of Division for Political Coordination at the Berlin Senate Chancellery (2008–2017), where she managed intergovernmental processes and cross-departmental strategy.
From 2003 to 2007, Dr. Hochreuter led the Cabinet Department of the Ministry of Building and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia, after serving as Attaché and desk officer at the Federal Foreign Office (1996–2003).

Prior to her work in public administration, Dr. Hochreuter worked as a research assistant in Public and International Law at Ruhr University Bochum.

She holds a PhD in law from Ruhr University Bochum, following legal studies in Bochum and Geneva.
